To accomplish our goal of creating a diversified farm, we purchased the 26-acre mature orange grove that bordered the 84-acre Harvest Farm. Our first harvest in May 2001 was quite successful. Our Valencia oranges make the sweetest juice possible.

We were amazed to learn that the Valencia orange trees bloom with the flower for next year's crop three months before the current year's crop is ready to harvest. This is one reason we could never mechanically harvest Valencia oranges.
